Walnut (Juglans) is the genus of plants from the Juglandaceae family. The species of this genus are trees high 10-40m, with pointed leaves longer 20-90cm. The name of the nut is also used for the most common species of this genus, domestic walnut.
Twenty types of walnuts have a range of spreads in the northern moderate climate of the Old World in the area of Southeast Europe to Japan, and in the New World from Southeast Canada to California to the west and Argentina to the south.
